Notes

Ramanuja praises Arjuna as being high minded and a very virtuous person. He is overwhelmed by compassion despite having been grievously wronged by Dhritarashtra's sons several times. His reluctance to fight is due to compassion, a fear of committing sin and due to his fear of losing his relatives.
