सञ्जय उवाच
एवमुक्त्वा हृषीकेशं गुडाकेशः परन्तपः |
न योत्स्य इति गोविन्दमुक्त्वा तूष्णीं बभूव ह ||२-९||

Meaning

शब्दार्थाः (Word for word)

सञ्जयः -- Sanjaya; उवाच -- said; एवम् -- thus; उक्त्वा -- having said; हृषीकेशम् -- to Hrishikesha (name of Krishna. lit. Lord of the senses); गूडाकेशः -- one who has won over sleep (refers to Arjuna); परन्तपः -- destroyer of enemies; न -- not; योत्स्ये -- I will fight; [न योत्स्ये -- I will not fight]; इति -- thus; गोविन्दम् -- to Govinda (to Krishna); उक्त्वा -- having said; तूष्णीम् -- silent; बभूव ह -- became

अन्वयः (Word order)

सञ्जयः उवाच : गुडाकेशः परन्तपः हृषीकेशं एवम् उक्त्वा, -- "न योत्स्ये" इति गोविन्दम् उक्त्वा तूष्णीं बभूव ह ।

अनुवादः (Translation)

Sanjaya said : Having spoken thus to Hrishikesha, Arjuna -- the conqueror of sleep, the destroyer of enemies, said "I will not fight" to Govinda and became silent.

Bhagavad Ramanuja does not comment on this verse separately.

Swami Ramsukhdasji summarizes Arjuna's position -- He sees no joy coming out of the kingdom or fame. He respects Krishna's words but fighting his relatives and elders is not sitting well with him either. Hence, having conveyed his arguments and decision he becomes silent.
