Sri M.N. Ramanuja,
Thanks for your post. The tamil month of chittirai is indeed
the solar mesha masam. The diagram that I have seems to say
that the full moon in this solar month can be in either chitra,
swati, or vishakha.
What is the definition of a lunar month? And how is a lunar
month given a particular name? That is, why is a particular
lunar month called chitra?
Also, can someone give me pointers to user friendly books
(preferably in English) that deal with these notions?
