Sri. Malolan: vAraNamAyiram is the name given to the SIXTH decad of nacchiyAr thirumozhi. Just wanted to mention this, since nobody else did. FYI, decads or portions of complete prabandhams (such as nacchiyAr thirumozhi) are referred to in the tradition by these unique names. It is a practice that dates back to the period of AchArya nAthamunigaL. Specifically, as many others have written, vAraNamAyiram describes Sri. AndAL's dream of marrying Sriman nArAyaNan. This wonderful decad is also sung during the seerAttal ceremony in Srivaishnava weddings.
