Esteemed members of the bhakti group: A friend of mine has asked me for the words of Sri Venkatesa Karavalamba stotram and I do not have it. I would be very grateful if someone could send me a copy of the stotra. My address is Department of Religion, 125 Dauer Hall, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL 32611; fax is 352 392 7395. Thanking you, Vasudha Narayanan. PS. I have enjoyed the discussions on Lakshmi. I would like to share a small article called "Sri: giver of Fortune, Bestower of Grace" which deals primarily at Vedanta Desika's concept of Lakshmi. The article is in "Devi: Goddesses of India" edited by John Hawley and Donna Wulff, University of California Press, 1996, pp.87-108. A more detailed version had appeared in a volume called "Goddess Sri" in "Radha and the Divine Consort" edited by the same people in 1982. The book is probably in most college libraries, but let me know if there is any problem in having access to it. Thank you.
