Greetings Mani,
In rereading your excellent post of March 2, 1995, I came across your
discussion of Merton's familiarity with the thiruppallaaNDu. I would
like to know a little more about the thiruppallaaNDu, especially as
it relates to Ramanuja and to Vedanta in general. If you could shed a
little light on this I would be happy to learn more. Thank you.
Also, I read your discussion about Krishna and comparisons to Christ,
and I agree with you that besides a few episodes in the childhood
narratives the two are worlds apart. I have no problems with seeing
Krishna as Krishna and Christ as Christ. That is much better than
mixing things up.
Yours, Bill
