Dear Virginia:

The Sanskrit SlOkam that is widely used as DhyAna slOkam
is from Swamy Desikan's Sri Sthuthi for Goddess Lakshmi.
Here it is:

KalyANAnAm avikala-nidhi: kaapi kAruNya-seemA
  NithyAmOdhA nigama-vachasAm mouLi-mandhAra-maalA
sampath-dhivyA Madhu-vijayina: SanniddhatthAm SadhA mE
  seishA dEvi sakala-bhuvana PrArTanA KaamadhEnu:

(Meaning): MahA lakshmi is the permanent abode of
all auspiciousness . She is the One , who gives
the quality of auspiciousness to all objects that
are considered auspicious. She is the boundary / limit
for the quality of forbearnace against our repeated
trespasses. She intercedes with Her Lord on
our behalf and pleads with Him to forgive our trespasses .
She stands as the means (upAyam) during the Prapatthi
(self-surrender ) performed by the devotees and
grants the fruits of Moksham along with Her Consort
during that time. She is consdiered by the VedAs as
the fragrant garland of MandhArA flowers that adorn
their heads. She is the One eulogized by the eternal VedAs.
Her Lord , Sriman NaarAyaNan considers Her as His most
cherished wealth. She grants all the boons desired by
Her devootees like a veritable KaamadhEnu. May This
Divine Consort of the Lord, Sri MahA Lakshmi of wonderous
qualities reside always in my mind !

Best wishes,
V.Sadagopan
