Friends,
        My name is Vedaraman Sriraman. I live in San Marcos, TX (30 miles 
south of Austin). Although I have been regularly browsing the list, I have 
only recently joined the group. Our family deity is Tirupathi Srinivasa 
Perumaal. I have a deep interest in the Alvars and the divya prabhandams. 
During my recent trip to India I had travelled  and had darshan of Perumals 
in the Tirunelveli, Madurai, Trichy, Kanchipuram and Kumbakonam area DDs. I 
was also fortunate to be able to go to Sriperembudur and Melkote. I wish to 
learn more about Srivaishnavism by joining this group. Please regard any 
shortcomings  associated with my future queries as due to sheer ignorance 
rather than arrogance. I wish to thank the moderator and several members ( 
particularly Shri Sadagopan and Shri MadhavaKannan ) for their many posts 
that I have enjoyed reading over the past two years.
