Dear Sri Ramadurai,
welcome to the list.

Sanskrit is no doubt is a MAJOR PLUS in getting to know /learn the tradition.
BUT.. our SWEET tamil is there for our anubhavam. Due to adiyE's no jnAnam in
sanskrit, no amount of explanation appeals to me as much as simple utterance of
"emmanaa en kula deivamE.. ennudai naayakanE.. nin uLLEnaayp peRRa nanmai
ivvulagil yaar peruvaar?":. how sweet!

We can get to know /learn all our Vedic knowledge and traditions from Araa
amudhu- 4000. I am not saying this. Swamy Desikan says: theLiyaadha
maRainilangaL theLiginROmE.. In fact, our AzhwArs have blessed us with the
essence of Vedas.

You also wrote that you know a bit of 4000."Vedham anaitthukkum vitthu"- the
seed of all Vedas is Tiruppaavai. I am sure you know that.

"vEdam anaittukkum vittAkum kOdai tamizh" is how SrI vEdappirAn bhaTTar praises
tiruppaaai".

Welcome again.
