Dear BhakthAs:

Today is the second day of the NavarAthri Uthsavam
at Kanchipuram.

On the morning of the second day up to the tenth day ,
during the early morning, Visva Roopa sEvai takes place
for both Lord VaradharAjan and MahA Devi.

The 47th slOkam of SrI VaradarAja PanchAsath of Swamy Desikan
describes his prayer to Lord Varadan to be blessed with
His Sevai as He gets up from the bed of AdhisEshA in
the morning at His Mirror hall:

Oh Lord who grants the boons that Your devotees desire!
You get up from Your soft bed of AdhisEshan in the morning
( Varadha ! PhaNipathi sayaneeyAth prabhathE utthitha:).
At that time, You wear on Your neck the marks of the golden
bangles of Your divine consort, PerumdEvi, as She holds You
tight during Her embraces of You ( Thvam IndhirAyA: anibrutha
parirambhai: aahithAm kanaka valaya mudhrAm kaNDadEsE dadhAna:).
May this sEvai of Yours stay always in my mind's eye ( Varadha !
anthar mAnasam sathatham sannidhEyA: )!

After the Visva Roopa Sevai, Manthra Pushpam is recited
by a descendant of Taatha Desikan ; TuLasi vessel from their hands
is given to the parcichArakar and passed on to the Archakar for
ThiruvArAdhanam. PerumdEvi ThAyAr , who is sought by us ,
who hears our prayers, who removes our sorrows and blesses us
enjoys the Thirumanjanam during the day. In the evening ,
the dhivya dampathis travel to the 100 pillar maNDapam
for Kolu to bless their many children . The ceremonies
described for the first day take place to the enjoyment
of one and all.

During their kolu in the 100 pillar MaNDapam , PerumAl
and ThAyAr adorn many beautiful AabharaNams as well as
multi-colored and fragrant garlands with just blossoemd
flowers . ThAyAr has Souri, Naaga Jadai, Raakadi, ardha
chandran, billAkku , ThODu et al.Our ThAyAr , who demonstrates
Her adhInam to Her Lord through Her sankalpam 'drinks "
the beauty of Her Lord with different alankArams every day.
