Dear sri Narayanan, The ashtAkshara mantra is to be got from one's AchAryA only. It is not good to write it in its full form. One who has undergone panchasamskArA under the feet of one's AchAryA knows how to do the japA. So, it is better not to discuss this. dAsan Mukundan --- In sv-rituals@y..., "Narayanan"wrote: > Hi all, > > Any idea of what ashtaksharajabam means? > > > Thanx in advance, > Narayanan [ I agree wholeheartedly that mantra should only be received from one's Acharya. However, many are often unsure of the mechanics of the japa itself (how and when, etc.) and it is very valuable to have others to discuss it with. So please feel free to discuss these aspects of the japa. Thanks -- Moderator ] ------------------------ Yahoo!
