[sv-rituals] Bilva patra archana to Lord Thiruvengadamudayaan

Pranamaas to all the Thondars of Thiruvengadamudayaan,

I heard that there will be only Bilvapatra Archana to the Lord Thirumalesha during Dhanurmaasam... (that is the reason, there is no suprabhatha sevai)  I would like to know why this bilvapatra used for archana? 
 
Also may be I am wrong.  Would like to know the truth and reason for the same if it is the truth.
