radhegovinda namo narayana dear bhaagavatas, first of all am sorry for the long break. this will be the final posting of the poems. i sincerely hope that all of you enjoyed sri krishna just a little bit more in these poems. :) because i have... no matter who wrote it, it was about our keshava, and i guess that's what matters... well here it is once again, poems of mira, kabir and surdas on their (and our) beloved sri hari... mira **** Without my beloved Master I cannot live. Body, mind, and life Have I given to the Beloved. Fascinated by His beauty, I gaze down the road Night and day. Says Mira: My Lord, accept your servant... Is all she asks. -Mirabai surdas's prayer *************** 'Tis you who made me indiscreet for you have kept my sight always O Lord, beneath your lotus-feet. I do not even cast my gaze on other gods, nor in my mind are they; for whatever I prayed for you gave; my doubts are left behind. In Vrindavana where you ever keep sporting with cowherd girls, I seek your refuge: like the snake without ears alas! your voice I cannot hear. Sura's only wish is to serve Radha's spouse, Krishna, and be freed' from the bonds and trammels of the world. I sing of the rasa's delight blessed is he who relates it, and he as well who hears of the joyful night, of their reward no tongue can tell; the nine nidhis and the eight siddhis can't bestow such auspiciousness as the rasaÂ’s rapture yields. To one in whom faith abides the maya of this world seems false and to one who is free from guile God's devotee's darshana is like God's. They who sing and they who hear the Lord's praises, says Suradasa are blessed indeed, for Krishna is near to them; and so too blessed the parents are of those who have faith in their hearts. kabir ***** Where do you search me? I am with you Not in pilgrimage, nor in icons Neither in solitudes Not in temples, nor in mosques Neither in Kaba nor in Kailash I am with you o man I am with you Not in prayers, nor in meditation Neither in fasting Not in yogic exercises Neither in renunciation Neither in the vital force nor in the body Not even in the ethereal space Neither in the womb of Nature Not in the breath of the breath Seek earnestly and discover In but a moment of search Says Kabir, Listen with care Where your faith is, I am there. What should I ask when nothing is stable Before my eyes the universe is in flames With a hundred thousand children and grandchildren to boot None in the end to show Ravan the path with a Lamp His kingdom Lanka secured by the sea Yet none in the end could trace Ravan* None came along none accompanied departure What happened to the elephants at the door? Says Kabir, in the end Departure is but with empty hands Like a looser gambler i beg forgiveness for any mistakes done. and may the divya dampatis bless us all with nithya kainkaryam 2 their lotus feet. lottsa krishna premai kalaivani andal thiruvadigale sharanam namo narayana namo venkateshaya ramramram _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp. ------------------------ Yahoo!
