Dear BhakthAs : Srimathi PraveeNA Anand is right , when she says the prostration should be done at the Dhvajasthambham .There are records of AchArya RaamAnujA offering his DhaNdavath praNAmam at the dhvaja sthambham of ThiruveLLarai PerumAl Koil and then once again at Bali Peetam (before Garudan Sannidhi) prior to entering PerumAL's garbha graham . I am delighted to read about the responses from BhakthAs about PradhakshiNam .Srimans Mani Varadarajan and M.G.VaasudEvan have provided an excellent analysis on the subject .PradakshiNam is a Vedic word ( Rg Vedam ) and I will comment on it in a separate posting .
