GITA CLASSES via TELEPHONE starting this sunday

Dear bhagavatas,

With pleasure, I would like to announce that we are starting a 
bhagawadgita class every sunday via phone (if we miss it due to 
unavoidable circumstances- it will be re-scheduled).  Couple of 
bhagavatas have requested  to listen to this lecture sundays from 
9AM-10AM pacific std. time(starting this sunday).  They will call me via 
an 800number and get into the conference. Details of actual numbers will 
be posted by thursday night to all of the folks who email me with their 
commitment to listen and to contribute for the cost of this session.

If you are interested please email me at kkalale1@san.rr.com and copy to 
kkalale@hotmail.com.  The cost of each class for each calling number is 
$15 (roughly) for domestic US folks (international rates are higher);  
this is the money required to set up the conference call for one calling 
line for one hour duration. If you have a speaker phone at your end, 
more folks can assemble and listen to this lecture;  The cost can be 
shared by the number of folks listening.

subject:  the plan is to cover Ramanuja bhasya details with comparitive 
views of advaita and dvaita on certain sections of Srimad Bhagavadgita.  
Bhagavadgita is the essence of upanishads and  a wonderful present to 
this universe delivered personally by our dear lord SRI KRISHNA. As our 
Nammalvar states... that "this is the path to the Lord as told by our 
Kannan"; 15 minutes at the end of the hour will be devoted to question 
and answers; preferably at the end of the lecture.

Gita does not need introduction.  

"CHAPTER OF GITA A DAY KEEPS SORROWS AWAY" - this is a very true 
statement only realizable by experience;  All of us who are embodied go 
through trials and tribulations. I usually read a chapter when ever I 
feel like; To my surprise everytime I get to know a different strain or 
facet of the meaning of the verses with deep meanings so useful in daily 
life.  Bhagavadgita is like a ocean of information so sweetly spoken by 
our Lord Krishna. 

The pace of the lectures, standard and level will be adjusted to suit 
the audience who sign up.  This pace can be adjusted as we progress into 
the chapters. 

we can either have a short course of 20 hours, to cover 18 chapters of 
Gita OR go over Ramanuja Bhasya verse by verse and dwell on some 
controversial ones deeply and speed up on some verses with less 
controversy. Please provide inputs as to how this should be handled.  
Q&A session needs to be controlled with less cross talk.

Hope to receive your inputs soon. I do realize that this is expensive 
for the participants.  It depends on how people can pool together and 
have a speaker phone at one facility and share the costs. Luckily by 
God's grace some folks have come forward to pioneer this concept of 
"telephone university" to materialize.
