Dear Sri Elayavalli : My materanl grandfather hails from PerugavazhundhAn , a village very close to Mannargudi. I do not know how far this village is from the five graamams . Regarding the three sthothrams that you refered to , none of them to the best of my knowledge belong to Sri MaNavALa Maamuni. Sri Gopala Vimsathi is the sthothram of Swami Desikan and it was composed at Thiruvahindrapuram in salutation of the Sri Rajagopalan there . The Lord at Mannargudi is Known as Sri Vidya Rajagopalan at his divya desam ( DakshiNa Dwarakai ). Sri Mutthuswami Dikshithar's excellent Krithi ,Sri Rajagopalam in Saveri has a lot of sthala purANam covered in it . The MohanaavathAra alankaaram of Sri Vidya Rajagopalan is beautiful and the teppOthsavam there is known in olden times for the great Nathasvara Kutcheris by celebrated Vidvans from ' villages of Cauvery delta .Some of the raagams played there like Hamsa Bramari are not in vogue anymore .Some of the villages that Sriman Sudarshan wrote about recently had Nathasvara and Tavil Vidvans , who participated in Mannargudi Uthsavams .
