Agamam questions.

If anyone has information on the following, I would appreciate it:
>
> 1. Are there differences in the forms of the dwara palaka-s found
in the temples that follow vaikhanasa agama vs. pancharatra agama? I
understand that the presence of gadai in hand, and the abhaya hastam
are typical pancharatra lakshana-s, whereas the varada hastam is a
typical characteristic of the vaikhanasa deity forms. I would like
to know if this difference is reflected in any of the temples, either
in the form the utsavar, or in the form of the dvara palaka-s. In
particular, are there differences in the form of the dwara palaka-s
in different temples that anyone in the list knows of?
>
> 2. I understand that a yantram is used in the peetham where the
Moolavar moorti is situated, in the temples. Is this the case
always, or is the yantram located separately outside and worshipped
in any temple?
>
> If there is a yantram used, is this the case only in pancharatra
temples, or do the vaikhanasa temples also use the yantram? Since
vaikhanasa agamam uses only vedic rites and does not use mantra-s, I
was not sure whether a yantra is used in the vaikhanasa agamam at
all. If anyone knows about this, I would appreciate this information.
>
> If a yantram is used in both the agamam-s, is there any difference
in the yantra-s?
>
> 3. Is there any difference that any of our readers have noticed in
the relative location of the sannidhi for SrI devi in differrent
temples? Again, my information is that the ideal location for the
sannidhi for SrI devi according to vaikhanasa agamam is the southwest
corner relative to the Moolavar sannidhi. I do not know whether the
pancharatra agamam specifies a different location. The information
I am interested in is: Is there a difference in the location of the
sannidhi for SrIdevi in the different divya desams that you have
visited, and can this difference be associated with whether the
pancharatra or vaikhanasa agama was used in the construction of the
temple.
>
> 4. I understand that there may be differences in the relative
location of the bali peetham and the dvaja stambham in different
temples. In other words, as we enter the temple, I am told that in
some temples, the bali peetham will be located first, then the dvaja
stambham, and then the PerumAL sannidhi, whereas in other temples,
the dvaja stambham, followed by the bali peetham, and then the
sannidhi. If any of you know which of our major divya desams differ
in this respect, I would appreciate your sharing this information.
>
> 5. Are any of you aware of any differences in the architecture of
the vimanam above Moolavar between the temples following one agamam
vs. the other agamam?
>
> I am aware that there are detail questions which most of us may not
be aware of. If any of you know any experts who may be able to
provide clarification on the above, can you kindly forward the above
to them and get clarifications? I sincerely appreciate any help in
this.
