Malolan, Here is Rg Veda 1.22.17: idam vishNur vicakrame tredhA nidadhe padam samUDham asya pAmsure Translation: Vishnu has stridden here. He has placed three sanctified steps on this earth. I fail to see any reference to the characteristic Pancaratra doctrine of vyUha, nor to any unequivocal reference to Vishnu as the Supreme. This is nothing but a reference to Trivikrama's three steps, which is the most celebrated story of Vishnu found in the Vedas. Can you explain your interpretation? Or do I have the wrong verse?
