meaning:
Sri Chandran did  a severe penance only to learn about the neermai
guNam of yours ? Those twinkling  stars are all in love for you on
seeing your uthsava  kOlam.  That summer breeze that comes  with a
a heat wave folded  its  hands  and stood without moving on seeing
your thiruvizhA kOlam. Even the Sea became silent on hearing about
your immeasurable beauty.

Srirama navami:
On this day Lord Sri NamperumAL is seated in Sri Arjuna  mandapam
with one of his eight consorts namely, chErukula valli nAcchiyAr,
who is considered  to be the incarnation of SitA. thiru manchanam
is performed and after pooja Lord accompanies nAcchiyAr  to leave
her in her sannithi and returns to  garba gruham.  This thiru nAL
is celebrated to enjoy the thiru vibavam of Srirama.

Viruppan thiru nAL:
This commences eight days prior  to  rEvathai  nakshatthiram.  On
the first day  the sprouting of seeds or ankurArpanam. On the day
1, Sri viswakshEnar and  Sri  AnjanEyA  arrive in  procession  to
nAcchiyAr sannithi. On their behalf the  holy  earth  is  brought
from beneath  the  vilva  tree. ArchakAs bring the holy mud  from
thiru kAuveri chanting  boosuktham.  These mud and sand are mixed
with water and kept  in  pots in  yAgasAla.  Cereals  are sown in
these  and  they  sprout in a  few  days.  Sri  vishwakshEna  the
commander in chief goes in "nagar valam"  around the four chithra
veedhis. This  routine is called "nagar sOdhanai" or the security
inspection of the holy city.
