Sorry for the long delay.

This akalpaH is not a noun! It is the verb kalpa (to create) used in
past tense.

Translation:

>From this Virat Purusha's navel emerged the
"inner-space" and from His head the "outer-space". From
His feet the "earth", and from His ears the "quarters" manifested;
Thus the worlds came into creation.
