A while ago, Mani Varadarajan had requested me to send my intro
out to the group, but given schedules I'm only now getting around
to it.

Here it is.

   I was born in Madras, went to Don Bosco Egmore, the highlight 
   of an otherwise tough childhood was playing Manuel Aaron(Then 
   India's No. 1 chess player) to a draw at age 12, moved onto 
   Don Bosco Bombay and the SIES college,
koodinEn koodi yeLa yavarthamm Odu                   
  ava tharum kalaviyE karudhi,         
   joined the Merchant Marines at age 18, than came to the US at
   25, hacked my way into software, wrote X/Motif/C++ code and
   architected a couple of high-profile projects at Salomon Bros,
OdinEn Odi yuyvadhO poruLaal 
  vONe venum perumpadhanN therindhu,
   built a computer consulting company with offices in Chennai & 
   Chestnut Ridge, NY, packed up and moved with family to California, 
   raised money for an internet start-up, did the exec program at 
   Stanford's GSB, rode the bubble down and than in an EIR'ish role
nNaadinEn nNaadi nNaaNn kaNdu koNdEn 
  naaraayaNa avennum nNaamam.
   helped a small venture fund founded by a Prof of CS at Stanford, 
   and am currently working on a business plan, living in Los Altos 
   with my wife and two daughters.
