Alvars
From the Bhakti List Archives

Dear members, Pranams. Before I say anything else, please respond to this post by writing to my personal address nathji108@aol.com. Thanks. I'm doing research on the Alvar saints of the Sri Vaishnava tradition and I'm trying with little success to locate English books on the lives of the Alvars. I know if I were to take a trip to Sri Rangam that would probably solve my problem; however, that is very impractical. One specific title I'm looking for is Alvar Carita. Maybe someone on this conference can help me locate and purchase some books, or maybe if I'm extremely lucky someone may know someone coming to the US from India who could bring some books! Please if you can be of any help I would very much appreciate it.
