Dear Sriman Rangarajan

Namaskaram.

With due respects, I would like to enquire into your
cause of dispair and such outburst of accusations.
You conduct is highly unbecoming of a Sri Vaishnava
With your permission, I would like to address the
individual issues in your email:

It is true that individual copy of each magazine is Rs.5 ONLY.
However, by no means is this magazine a "cheap book of 185 pages".
It is an invaluable magazine that carries Acharya Mangalashaasanams,
His commentaries on vedas/prabhandhams, articles on topics such
as Padma puraanam, Hayagriva Stotram, Vedas and Ithihaasas authored
by Veda Vidwaas that most of us are not even worthy of uttering
their names. Within these 185 pages, if I may, are woven the
entire tatvam of Sri Sampradaayam and the beautiful glory of
Guru-Shishya Parampara and anubhavam.

My hands are trembling even as I write this, considering the
unfortunate circumstances that you have created and which are
causing me to write in defense. Never, ever, in my times, have I
seen a Sri Vaishnava belittle such a grantham in such a manner. To
this end, you stand on your own on the mantle of maha-papam
towards our acharya parampara

>it is therefore useless to value the individual book.

Disappointed to the bottom of my heart by your comments,
I beg you to refrain from making such comments on our
Sampradayam. I will send you my personal copy of the
September and October, 2001. Please send me your
mailing address and I will promptly mail it.
Please take your time and read the magazine. It may
take us years in order to
understand and drown in the sea of knowledge that is packed
in this magazine. Just like Swamy Vedanta Desikan has
packed the Hayagriva Manthram in Hayagriva Stotram and
just like Swamy Abhinava Ranganatha Parakala Maha Desikan
has packed some maha mantrams into Sri Hayagriva Panjaram,
it is well worth to note that Sri Hayagriva Priya is a
185 page grantham that packs the concepts of Sri Sampradayam
and how a bhagavatha can reach perumal. If one magazine
can do this, think about 12 magazines of such kind and
for 50 Rs./ !!!
(what is the cost of tea in India, now-a-days ? or a soft drink ?)

Even with this measly cost, do you know that this Magazine
loses Rs 2/- per magazine ? But the publisher still
absorbs the costs and ensures that this is available
to the religiously-inclined for almost-free of charge.
(50 Rs per year is almost free of charge, today in India)

As I said, before, the more I read your email, the more
it causes pain and grief. You are treading on a very
unfortunate path of maha-paapam by carrying out accusations
on fellow bhaktas. When you say Parakala Matham Shishyas,
please reflect upon the fact that the every acharya
who attains paramapadam, every acharya who connected to
the Matham was once a shishya of the Matham. Incredible as
it may sound, how easy was it to take such direct pot-shots
at them ??

Again, I ask you to refrain from such conduct and
spreading of dvesham. We don't need it in this day in age.
