Dear SrI/SrImathi Prasanna Venkatesh, SwAmy SrIman NigamAntha MahA DESika in his extraordinary work titled "SrI HayagrIva Sthothram" says "dAkshiNyaramyA giriSasya mUrthi: dEvI sarOjAsana dharma-pathni .... ... spuranti sarvE thava shakti-lESai:". DakshiNAmUthy(Rudra), Saraswathi etc., are called in the world as "teachers" just because a small fraction of your (HayagrIva's) shakti has given them such a position. This is a reference for vaidikas telling that the demi-gods/godess like Rudra, Saraswati were blessed by the God. Those who are SrI VaishNAvas must not have DEvathAnthara sambandam in any form as per the SAstra. This does not mean disrespecting DEvathAntharam in any manner. Thanks & Regards M.S.HARI RAmAnuja DAsan (mshari@usa.net) P.S. SrI Saraswathy (sarOjAsana dharma-pathni) is also a DEvathAntharam. ____________________________________________________________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1 -------------------------------------------------------------- - SrImate rAmAnujAya namaH - To Post a message, send it to: bhakti-list@eGroups.com Search archives at http://ramanuja.org/sv/bhakti/archives/index.html#SEARCH
