Ramanuja Dasar

I understand there is a Ramanuja Daasar  who was refused panchasamskara by 
the regular mathathipathis and only Tirukoilur Swami (a Svayamacharya?) did 
it. Subsequently Ramanuja Daasar started a Srivaishnavite movement in 
Pondicherry which has become very famous.  I would appreciate it if someone 
is able to shed light on this.
