Dear Sriman Shruti, As per Sriman Ramanuja, the "jivana mukti" concept is untenable. The Jivatma as long as embodied in the mortal coil (prAkruta sharIra) will not able to attain a fully liberated state. This is true irrespective of the level of knowledge & devotion an individual may possess. As per Sriman Ramanuja, the jIvAtma will be bound by prakruti/karmA as long as it is associated with the mortail coil. Request other bhaktas to validate.......... adiyEn rAmAnuja dAsan aravind rAman Shruti Dharawrote: Dear Bhagavatas, Kindly address this question. I believe I have read in a number of places that according to Sri Ramanuja's doctrine jivana-mukti (embodied or "living" liberation) is an untenable doctrine, that only videha-mukti is plausible. Is this the accepted conclusion? I thank you in advance, Jagadish Dasa _________________________________________________________________ Join the worldÂ’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com -------------------------------------------------------------- - SrImate rAmAnujAya namaH - To Post a message, send it to: bhakti-list@yahoogroups.com Group Home: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bhakti-list Archives: http://ramanuja.org/sv/bhakti/archives/ Your use of Yahoo!
