Creation according to Hinduism

Dear Bhagavathaas,

Here are some of adiyen's thoughts on creation. Some of it may sound
repetetive,
as many others have shared their thoughts.

I think a basic Hindu concept is One became Everything.
It is vishiSHTa and advaita!
It is transformation and not creation perse.
It is not whether God exists, rather only God exists.
The Sanskrit word for creation sreSHTi means out pouring.
There is no creation in the sense of the Biblical creation,
where explicitly it is stated that God created this and that.
This is the take home message of puruSHa sUktam (PS).
Every Hindu thought is pretty much an elaboration of PS.
I will seperately post a literal translation of PS.

Perhaps we can understand it from the following anology:
Hydrogen atom is the building block for
all the elements, In other words, all elements are an extension of
H atom. The diamond that glitters to radium that glows are all
extension or projection of H atom. We are made of some of these
elements. We are an extension of H atom as well. So also this
computer and everything else. Of course H atom itself is pretty much
empty (99.9999% of it is nothing or avyakta). However the shape of H atom and
shape of everything else is due to the void. In a way nothing is projecting
something. If that void is missing, our size would be reduced by more than
99.99%!

daasan,

Koti Sreekrishna Tatachar
