Dear BhakthAs of Sri RanganAyaki:
Sri RanganAyaki has been the object of sthuthi
from time immemorial by DevAs ( Indhran/Lakshmi
AshtOtthram), Maharishis ( ParAsarar/VishNu PurANam),
AchAryAs ( ChathusslOki/AlavandhAr,Sri Sthavam/KurEsar ,
Sri GuNa Rathna Kosam/ParAsara Bhattar, Sri Sthuthi/Swamy
Desikan ), Composers ( Seven Mahaalakshmi Krithis by
Mutthuswamy DhIkshithar in Raagams Desi SimhAravam,
LalithA , DhanyAsi, SourAshtram, Sri , Maadhava ManOhari
and MangaLa Kaisiki). There are number of adiyEn's postings
archived on the above Sthuthis on MahA Lakshmi.
Swamy AlavandhAr pointed out that even Her Lord ,
the Sarvaj~nan does not know the extent of Her
Vaibhavam ( yasyAsthE mahimAnam Athmana iva
tvadh-vallabhObhi: Prabhu: naalam Maathum-iyatthayA
niravadhim nithyAnukoolam Svatha:).
KurEsar developed this theme further in the 8th slokam
of His Sri Sthavam :
Thvan mahimAvathirna: HariNA nApi ThvayA Jn~ayathE
yadhyapyEvam aTApi naiva YuvayO: Sarvajn~athA heeyathE
(Meaning): Oh RanganAyaki! The limits of Your Vaibhavam
is beyond the comprehension of even Your Lord ; You
Yourself are not aware of those boundaries. This does
not affect both of Your description as Omniscient
(Sarvajn~ars).
KurEsar concluded his Sri Sthavm with a prayer
for Her Dayaa-laden glances to fall on him .
He pointed out that any one , who has the Bhaagyam
of receiving those glances become enriched with
indescribable wealth including Kaimkarya Sri:

SRIRANGARAAJA-MAHISHI SAA MAAMAPI VEEKSHTHAAM LAKSHMI:
MahA Lakshmi's special role and relationship to
the Lord with respect to the prapatthi performed
by the Jeevans is extensively described by
Lakshmi Tanthram . NadadUr AmmAL's Prapanna
PaarijAtham develops these ideas further.
In the PaancharAthra Saasthram , the Lord Sriman
NaarAyaNan explains Lakshmi Tatthvam to the attentive
VishvaksEnar this way:
" After collecting all the materials for the worship of
Myself(Hari), One shall worship then the Goddess
(MahA Lakshmi) , who is My Consort ".
" Just as the universe is pervaded by Me, both in essence
and quality, all this is pervaded by Her(Sri RanganAyaki)
also. Therefore , She is the disposer and Ruler of All".
" She is pervaded by Me and similarly I , the Lord
am also pervaded by Her. Hear, therefore , SenEsA !
the difference between Me and Her: My consort, who is
the ruler of all is subservient to Me. To Her as well as
the universe that I am the Lord is well known in the VedAs".
Parasara Muni, the author of VishNu PurANam describes
MahA Lakshmi's glories this way :
" She is Eternal , the Mother of the Universe,
the glory of VishNu (Sri RanganAthan) ..Just as
VishNu is all pervading , so also is She.
I salute that consort of the bestower of boons
(Varadha-VallabhA ), who by being the Beloved One
of the Lord (Sri RanganAthan ) previous to Their
having recourse to her Lord , occupies of Her own
accord , the position of mediatrix to Jeevans
and promotes affection , mercy in Her Lord towards
the jeevans solely addicted to sinful deeds.
At the time of His becoming the means (upAyam) ,
She fosters knowledge, energy and other attributes
in Him through PurushakArathvam ".
In Moksha dasai, She blesses Moksham to the Jeevan
that has performed Prapatthi through a SadAchAryan
along with Her Lord because of her YekasEshithvam .
Swamy Desikan's Sri Sookthi passages are to
be remembered in this context:
"BhAvArooDou Bhagavathi YUVAM DAMPATHI DHAIVATHAM NA:"
( Both of You of united mind become our ParadEvathais).
" YuvayO: yEka-sEshithvam" ( Both of You have equal
rights in receiving the havis of prapatthi performed
by a Jeevan in the Saasthraic manner). She still points
out Her Lord as ParadEvathai. That is her uniqueness".
In the 18th slOkam of Sri Sthuthi, Swamy Desikan
points out the indispensability of Sri RanganAyaki
in securing Moksha Siddhi ( Urikarthum Kusalamakhilam--).
adiyEn will conclude this salutation to Sri RanganAyaki
with her dhyAna SlOkam housed with affection by
Swamy Desikan in his Sri Sthuthi:
kalyANAnAm avikalanidhi: kaapi KaaruNyaseemA
nithyAmOdhA nigamavachasAm mouLimandhAramAlA
Sampath dhivyA Madhuvijayina: SamniddhAttAm sadhA mE
SAISHAA DEVI SAKALA BHUVANA PRAARTHANAA KAAMADHENU:
May that Sri RanganAyaki adored by Her Lord and Our
AchAryAs bless all of her BhakthAs assembled in front of
Her during the MahA SamprOkshaNam at Her newest abode
at Pomona , NY .
