nature of the soul and its liberation

Dear Anand, You have brought up an interesting question, but I feel it is different from the one posed by Sri Harikumar. Since both are interesting questions, I will try to focus the attention of people on both of them. 1. Sri Harikumar's question is this: The Bhagavatam text and the Brahma-bindu upanishad text seem to be teaching, on the face of it, the essential non-difference between the jiva and brahman. This is suggested by the fact that the sky or space is one only, although it may be enclosed in different jars. So how do SV acharyas interpret these texts? 2. Re your question, I think "vibhu" should be interpreted as "all-pervading" and not "infinite". The question then is how can paramatma `share the same space' with chetana and achetana. I think Sri Bharat has addressed this (or a related question) recently. (I feel that one possible way out is to simply assert that paramatma does share the same space with chetana and achetana. This is certainly plausible for the reason that these are entities of different "kinds.") -Kasturi ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Up to 60% OFF food!
