Dear BhakthAs : Sriman Dileepan brought to our attention two days ago the kaimkaryam at ThErazhundhUr and invited us to participate in that ongoing kaimkaryam . Although My village , Oppiliappan Koil is only 20 miles away , I never had the darsana SoubhAgyam of the ArchA mUrthy of ThErazhandhUr until dozen years ago . I had just completed a 45 page article on the Sthalam from New York base and at the end of that article prayed for Sri Gosakan of ThErazhandhUr to bless me with His darsana soubhAgyam . Two months later , my wish was fulfileld during a trip to India on IBM business . At that time , I left a copy of that manuscript at the sacred feet of Sri Gosakan via archaka mukham . That manuscript was resting here all these years. In the context of the 108 Divya desam Web pages project coupled with the appeal from Sri Dileepan for us to help with the project at this divya desam , I thought it might be timely to summarize the contents of that manuscript , which deals mainly with the 45 beautiful paasurams of Thirumangai AzhwAr on Sri Gosakan ( Sri Aamurvuiappan ), the presiding deity of this divya desam . Details on the sthalam and the beautiful images of the Uthsavar and moolavar are housed in the home pages on ThErazhundhUr created by Sri Dileepan . The URL for those home pages is : http://www.cdc.net/~dileepan/ther/therazhun.html The history of that divya desam and related details are nicely described there .You will immensely enjoy a virtual tour of this divya desam there . In my postings , I will focus mainly on the moving anubhavams of Thriumangai at this KshEthram . AzhwAr ThiruvadigaLE SaraNam , Oppiliappan Koil VaradAchAri Sadagopan
