Dear Bhaktas / Prapannas:

			As we all meditate on Sri Rama this day, Sri Rama
Mangalam is one of the hymns that we should consider including in our prayers.
The following is an offering of the same and an attempt at an English
translation.

	MANGALAM KOUSALENDRAYA MAHANEEYA GUNABDHAYE
	CHAKRAVARTI TANOOJAYA SARVABHOWMAYA MANGALAM

	Blissful felictations to the king of Kosala, ocean of virtues and the son
of emperor Dasaratha.

	VEDAVEDANTA VEDYAYA MEGHASHYAMALA MOORTHAYE
	PUMSAM MOHANAROOPAYA PUNYASHLOKAYA MANGALAM

	Blissful felictations to the one who is the subject of scriptures, the
one with cloud blue skin color, attractive features and renowned for His
virtues.

	VISHWAMITRANTARANGAYA MITHILANAGARIPATEHE
	BHAGYANAM PARIPAKAYA BHAVYAROOPAYA MANGALAM

	Blissful felecitations to the choice pupil of sage Vishwamitra and the
fruit of good deeds of the king of Mithila.

	PITRUBHAKTAYA SATATAM BHRATHRUBHIHI SAHA SEETHAYA
	NANDITAKHILALOKAYA RAMABHADRYA MANGALAM 

	Blissful felicitations to the one who along with His wife Seeta and
brothers, was always indulgently loyal to His father and delighted the celestial
universes.

	THYAKTASAKETAVASAYA CHITRKOOTA VIHARINE
	SEVYAYA SARVAYAMINAM DHEERODARAYA MANGALAM

	Blissful feliciattions the one who rejected the comfort of Saketanagara,
the one who was happy strolling the slopes of Chitrakoota, the one who was
worshipped by every sage and to the one who was an embodiment of courage.

	SOWMITRINA CHA JANAKYA CHAPABANASIDHARINE
	SANSEVYAYA SADABHAKTYA SWAMINE MAMA MANGALAM

	Blissful felicitations to the one who equipped with bows and arrows
roamed in the woods accompanied by Seetha and Lakshmana and to the one who is
the subject of our devotion.

	DANDAKARANYAVASAYA KHANDITAMARASHATRAVE
	GRIDHRARAJAYA BHAKTAYA MUKTIDAYASTU MANGALAM

	Blissful felicitations to the one who lived in thick forests, who
destroyed His enemies with ease and the one who granted emancipation to His
staunch devotee Jatayu, the king of birds.

	SADARAM SHABAREEDATTAPHALAMOOLABHILASHINEE
	SOWLABHYAPARIPOORNAYA SATTVODREEKTAYA MANGALAM

	Blissful felecitations to the easy-going but full of vigor personality
who expressed great interest in the offering of fruits made by Shabari and
eagerly obliged with her wishes.

	HANUMATSAMAVETAYA HREESHABHEESHTADAYINE
	VALIPRAMTHANAYASTHU MAHADHEERAYA MANGALAM

	Blissful felicitations to the companion of Hanuman and the great warrior
who vanquished mighty Vali to please His friend Sugreeva.

	SRIMATE RAGHUVEERAYA SETHOOLLANGHITASINDHAVE
	JITARAKSHASARAJAYA RAMABHADRAYA MANGALAM

	Blissful felicitations to war hero Raghuveer who had a bridge built
across the ocean to cross over to reach and destroy His enemy mighty Ravana.

	ASADYA NAGAREEM DIVYAMABHISHIKTAYA SEETHAYA
	RAJADHIRAJAYA RAMABHADRAYA MANGALAM

	Blissful felicitations to Sri Ramabhadra who with Seetha at His side,
attained the throne of the great state of Ayodhya and was hailed King of Kings.

	MANGALASHASANAPARAIRMADACHARYAPUROGAMAIHI
	SARVAISHCHA POORVAIRACHARYAIHI SATKRUYASTU MANGALAM

	Blissful felicitations to the great one who is worshipped by the holy
sages of the past and the future.
