Priya Bhagawatas, Asmadsrigurubhyonamaha!!! With reference to the following mail, adiyen would like to put forth some points """" Sangeethawrote: Hello Everybody, Greetings. I am Sangeetha, Vadagalai Iyengar. I have a very basic doubt on whether god is really listening to our prayers and whether he is with us. I am not able to find an answer to this. I will be greatful if any one of you could share your mystic experiences. With Warm Regards Sangeetha """" 1. Regarding the first point that 'whether god is really listening to our prayers and whether He is with us'; it should be noted that if it is not so, one will not only be able to even raise such a question at all, but also will not be able to read this messagel itself, because due to Him only all the pancha indriyams are working (led by the mind) as declared by Himself in Srimadbhagavadgita. 2. Though it is very common for most of our minds to assume childishness and start questioning the existence/proximity of God when some of our silly desires are not fulfilled; it should be remembered that God's grace is like a continuous non-stop downpour on every body irrespective of one's eligibility/quality , due to which one is able to do one or many of the most basic but surviving activities like breathe, see, hear, eat, digest, talk, walk, run and what not including levelling allegations against Him or even realising the mighty Himself. 3. Thus it forms the basic responsibility of each and every person first to constantly extend one's full gratitude to Him for all the favours as referred above (though it may appear basic), He has already granted in the past and continuing in the present and the future also and there is no scope for accusation/allegations for the missing favours. 4. While putting to test one's fortunes, if one is able to just chant/hear/see the Tirunaamams of the Lord like SriHari, Srikrishna, Sri Rama etc then that itself is the biggest fortune one is already possessing and there is nothing else other than that one needs to aspire for Supreme Bliss. Any other fortune is temporary and infinitisimal or of no use in the absence of the Lord's remembrance; and Lord's remembrance itself is enough in the absence of any other fortune what ever big it may appear.
