Shatarudriyam
From the Bhakti List Archives

Sri: Srimathe ramanujaya namaha Dear Members, I am glad to read about the reforms which Sri.Mani Varadarajan has introduced for the list and am equally glad to see the focus of the list back on the saddle once again. I had asked this question some time back but have not got a conclusive reply. Since our membership has now swelled to a greater extent, I am hoping to get a conclusive answer to a question which I have been tackling for quite a long time without any phalam! The question being on the interpretation of the Rudram where I have come across refernces that hint out that the namas (names and attributes) in the Shatarudriyam actually connote to Narasimhar which sounds inconclusive. For example Tryambakam, Triupraantakam and many other names connote Maheshwara. I wish to know if any scholar or acharya in the Sri Vaishnava Sampradaya have commented upon the Rudram. I eagerly await responses/articles from learned members. Regards, Adiyen Ramanuja Dasan, Malolan Cadambi __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
