What is meant by Mode of Brahman?

Dear Vaishnavas: I have a question which I would like to get clarified. In our real svarupa, we (jivatmas) along with Prakriti are said to be the Body of Brahman (Narayana). This is easy to understand (and also visibly shown to Arjuna). However the jiva is also said to be an attribute of Brahman. How is it that the jiva, who is a substantive existent, is also considered an attribute? Also the jiva is said to be a Mode of Brahman. What is meant by Mode? Can someone kindly elucidate? dasan, P.Srinivasan -------------------------------------------------------------- - SrImate rAmAnujAya namaH - To Post a message, send it to: bhakti-list@yahoogroups.com Archives: http://ramanuja.org/sv/bhakti/archives/ Your use of Yahoo!
