radhegovinda namo narayana dear bhaagavatas, after having delighted with the anubhavams of mira, lets turn to surdas once more. THE PRICELESS GEM OF HARI-DEVOTION ********************************** O Krishna, I could not know your grace infinite, as the eye cannot see the defect in it, or as the owl sets no store by the rays of the sun. So too Suradasa did not prize the preciousness of the gem of Hari-devotion, for he is low down, witless and wanton, toiling even for a trifle. That name of Hari which even Shiva treasures and which is all the world for sages: that priceless diamond the great fool, Suradasa, has bartered away for the venomous poison of sense-pleasures ! THE VAIN SEARCH *************** I believe I went all out to seek your grace, O God, yet I could not know how it is got. I kept going places to find you there forgetting that you are everywhere. I could not enshrine in my eyes that Divinity which is beyond thought, speech and sacred rites, formless and yet with form; with qualities, yet without, nameless, yet with a name by which he is worshipped by the devout. Says Suradasa, my sins are numberless, and all's going wrong with me, you are an ocean of mercy I crave your forgiveness. lottsa krishna premai kalaivani namo venkateshaya andal thiruvadigale sharanam _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com -------------------------------------------------------------- - SrImate rAmAnujAya namaH - To Post a message, send it to: bhakti-list@yahoogroups.com Archives: http://ramanuja.org/sv/bhakti/archives/ Your use of Yahoo!
