This is not to disagree with any learned scholar, but
I have encountered many traditional, devout women
Sri Vaishnavas who pluck tuLasI to offer them to their
perumAL. They also do it reciting the tuLasi-haraNa
Slokas that are in vogue in our sampradAya. My feeling
is that each person should follow the practices of
their family as guided by their own acharya.
