Masa Tirunakshatram Celebration of H.H. Srimad Poundarikapuram Andavan Swami

SrimatE Gopaladesika MahadesikAya Namaha,

On behalf of Sri Vedanta Desika Sabha, adiyen wishes to offer 
heartfelt thanks to all Bhagavatas who attended the Padhuka Aradhanam 
at our residence last Saturday and made it a grand success. The zeal, 
enthusiasm, and tireless Kaimkaryams of all Bhagavatas attending the 
event made for a vibrant sonorous celebration of the Masa 
Tirunakshtram of H.H. Srimad Andavan Swami of Srimad Poundarikapuram 
Ashramam. 

Adiyen is indebted to Sri Anbil Ramaswamy Swamin, who graciously 
allowed adiyen to borrow AsmadhAcharyan's Padhukas for this auspicious 
occassion. Adiyen cannot find sufficient words to express gratitude to 
Sri Ramanuja Mission for taking the initiative and performing a moving 
Padhuka Aradhanam to mark the last Masa Tirunakshtram (Maasi Rohini)
of H.H. prior to the Sathabishekam (March 30, 2001). Adiyen is 
especially thankful to Srimans Poondi Vijayaraghavan Swamin, Venkat 
Srinivasan Swamin, Narayanan Veeraraghavachariar Swamin, Shreyas 
Sarangan Swamin, Murali Thirumalai Swamin, Kesava Kannan Swamin, and 
Balaji Ramanujam Swamin. Their majestic rendition of Azhwar Prabandham 
and Swami Desikan's Sri Sookthis provided a rare feast, which is still 
ringing in adiyen's ears. Fifteen Acharya Padhukas and the vigraham of 
Sri Ramanujacharya (which was worshipped by H.H. Andavan Swami of 
Periya Ashramam) graced our home for the auspicious occassion of the 
Masa Tirunakshatram celebration.

Adiyen is particularly thankful to Bhagavatas in the Boston area for 
their help with logistical arrangements, set up for the Padhuka 
Aradhanam, prasadam preparation, distribution, and clean-up. Adiyen is 
extremely grateful to the womenfolk for their yeoman efforts of 
Kaimkaryam, which enabled unhindered participation of their spouses 
in the Padhuka Aradhanam, making it a grand success. Adiyen cannot 
find sufficient words to appreciate the noble gesture of Sri Ramanuja 
Mission in donating the entire proceeds ($1316$) from the event to 
H.H. Srimad Andavan Swami of Srimad Poundarikapuram Ashramam. A 
detailed report of the event will be posted by Sriman Murali 
Thirumalai Swamin of Sri Ramanuja Mission.
