SVSS FUNDING STATUS

Dear Bhaagawathas

On behalf of the Sri Vaishnava Seva Samithi volunteers, we express our
sincere thanks to those of you who have contributed for various Sri
Vaishnava causes.

As a summary, from August 1999 to March 2000, about 50 bhagavathas have 
made
one -time contributions of approx $12875 dollars for 20 different
kainkaryams.

The One-time Contributions for Recently Completed Projects are:

1.	Sri Villipuththoor Andal Koil			$776.00
2.	Kooram Sri Koorathazhwaan Koil		$3912.00
3.	Sri Madhuranthankam Swamy Trust		$1942.00

In addition, we have about 20 bhaagavathas who have signed up for quarterly
automatic contributions totaling $3006.00 benefiting 16 different causes.

We are very happy that these projects are getting support.  However,  we 
cannot be contented till there is a "visistadvaita university / paatashala 
and temple"  accessible to all srivaishnavas.  We have to make this world 
have enough srivaishnava literature, preceptors, information & places of 
worship (temples) so that our current generation and future generations 
need not resort to other systems of thought for the lack of info on our 
"RICH TRADITION".  .  We should not let any srivaishnava literature to go 
the "LOST FOREVER or EXTINCT " category.  For these goals to be achieved it 
needs a lot of support from everyone.
We would like more people to sign up for automatic contributions since that 
will make funding easier.  Like how we pay mortgage or rent or insurance 
payments, if everyone can keep aside some amount of money for helping to 
protect our culture, I am sure we can help ourselves and our future 
generations. We request more of you to join the effort for a long-term 
solution to
sustain our great heritage.  Please fill in the form on the website :

provided.  YOU CAN HELP SVSS TOO by simply joining the rest of the 
supporters.  I am delighted to announce that we have already two devotees 
who have signed up in just a week extending their long term support for 
SVSS.  We want to come to a level of about 50 srivaishnavas who contribute 
via automatic deduction within this month.


Please note that we are currently raising funds for various kainkaryams,
including the following TWO specific near term projects:

1.	Sri Parakala Math Projects on the Kalayana Mantap, Veda Patashala
(on-going effort to support the math).  This is important since currently, 
this math just does not have enough support for survival.

2.	Sri Uttamar Swamy's Books Publication (Refer to recent postings by
Sri. Krishna Kalale to know the urgency for this project)
