nitya and naimittika karmas
From the Bhakti List Archives
• March 18, 2000
Hello everybody. I have been on this list for more than a month now. I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience so far. I have a question regarding the vedic nitya and naimittika karmas for a srivaishnava brahmin. 1. Are there any that involve animal sacrifices? Example? 2. How do srivaishnava brahmins perform these karmas? I wish to clarify that I am *not* asking for arguements for or against animal sacrifices. I simply want to know what the practice is. I did search the archives and find related discussions but did not hit upon the facts that I am looking for. thanks. kasturirangan ------------------------------------------------------------------------ - SrImate raamaanujaaya namaH - To Post a message, send it to: bhakti-list@eGroups.com Visit http://www.ramanuja.org/sv/bhakti/ for more information ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Now's your chance to get organized!
