prapatti in BG as upAya?
From the Bhakti List Archives

Dear BhAgawatAs, Based on a very simple translation and commentary of the Bhagawad Geeta (BG) I have been reading, I have a very basic question. It is not clear to me as to where in the 18 chapters Sri Krishna instructs that prapatti is an independent and efficacious method to moksha. Could somebody shed some light on that? Why did Krishna have to talk at all about karma-, j~nana-, and bhakti- yoga just to say prapatti in the end. Agreed, prapatti is required for a bhakti yogi? How will prapatti work for a non-bhakti yogi? Also, is Arjuna a bhakti yogi and did he perform prapatti? I know that this is probably the most discussed and well addressed aspects of BG, but adiyen gets confused even on simple issues such as these. Please forgive me for being so naive. -- Adiyen > || Sarvam Sri KrishNArpaNamastu || > > -- Murali KaDAmbi > > e-mail: murli@att.com or > kadambi@monmouth.com > home phone #: (732) 544 4924 > address: 4-B Juniper Lane, Eatontown, NJ 07724-1804 > > > >
