Dearest Sisters and Brothers,

NammAzhwAr, after pleading with the Lord to take him away from the 
complete take over of his sense organs and their conquering his mind in 
order to reach the abode of His Lotus Feet. But, getting no satisfactory 
response from Emperumaan, AzhwAr gets into "Parangusa nAyaki" again. She 
weeps, cries, sobs, laments, sighs, blathers, worships the sky with 
folded hands, smiles at the vacuum, and does all sorts of things in 
total emotional sufferings and anubhavam in longing and languishing. 
This ten pAsurams is on OUR DEAREST GREATEST SRI RANGANATHA PERUMAL AT 
SRI RANGAM. It is written by AzhwAr as if these pasurams are the 
pathetic appeal of ParangusanAyaki's mother to NamperumAL. In essence, 
the mother asks: "What are You going to do for her? What is Your plan?"

1. (Please bear with me. I just can not resist writing the 
Transliterated version for the BEAUTIFUL TAMIL and lovely words and 
meanings, when someone reads it. In fact, when Sri KrishNa prEmi tells 
that during his discourse, it is so sweet and pleasing to the ears, that 
one can totally visualize the Lady AzhwAr going crazy after NamperumAL, 
Sri Ranganathar, and cries, sobs, laughs, laments, etc..) 
kangulum pagalum kaN thuyi laRiyaaL
  kaNNanNeer kaikaLaal iRaikkum,
changuchak karanga LenRukai kooppum
  `thaamaraik kaN' enRu thaLarum,
`eNGNGanE tharikkE Nnunnaivittu' ennum
  irunNilam kaithuzaa virukkum,
chengayal paaynNeerth thiruvaraNG kaththaay!
  ivaLthiRath thencheykin RaayE..

PerumaanE.. ThiruvarangaperumaanE! My girl has been always thinking of 
You and has been crying ceaselessly with no sleep during the nights and 
the daytime as well. She is even splashing her tears ( that flood the 
entire area in such quantum). She thinks of Your Most Beautiful fragrant 
ornaments and says : "sanghum Chakram" with folded hands (to pay 
obeisance to You and offer Shraddhaanjali). She wonders at the exquisite 
beauty of Your lovely, Lotus like Eyes and melts at that thinking alone. 
"How will I ever be able to survive without You"- She has been crying  
like that. She has been digging the Earth with both her hands (in search 
of You) and is remorse with tears in her eyes. Oh Periya PerumaaLE! (Big 
Lord!) The One who is lying down at Srirangam! What are You going to do 
with my darling Girl?

2.encheykin Raay en thaamaraik kaNNaa!
  ennum; kaNNeer malka irukkum,
`encheykE NneRinNeerth thiruvaraNG kaththaay?'
  ennumvev vuyirththuyirth thurukum:
`mun_cheydha vinaiyE! mukappataay' ennum
  `mukilvaNNaa! thakuvathO?' ennum,
muncheydhiv vulagam uNtumizanN thaLandhaay!
  engolO mudikinRa thivatkE?
…..Oh ThiruvaranghanaathanE, The Lord of Srirangam, which is situated in 
the middle of Cauvery river! My darling daughter, keeps thinking of You, 
and tells (amidst sobs)  "The Beautiful Lotus eyed Lord! What are You 
planning to do for me?". With tears rolling down her cheeks, She always 
is thinking of You and is remorse with tears welled in her eyes. She 
says "What can I do now?" and sighs heavily and deeply- her heart 
melting for You, Lord. She weeps saying that it is her large sins that 
have been committed her in the past for this pitiable, suffering state 
of hers. She tells: "Oh My Lord, who is (so merciful) like Clouds. Is it 
apt for Your caliber to trouble me like this? (It is Not.). You brought 
the entire universe after retaining it in the stomach and also measure 
the same with Your Feet. You, who is so Greatest,- why are You like this 
with my daughter? What is Your action on her? (What is going to win?- 
Your mercy or her paapams?)

3.  My girl, shamelessly, (even after considering You as her hubby) 
calls You by name "MaNivaNNaa!. (Ladies do not call their hubbies by 
name those days!…. Now…. they all call them names(!)) Awaiting for You, 
looking at the sky, She faints. Her heart melts with ecstasy and 
anubhavam when she admires Your valor, calling You "My Master! The One 
who destroyed the asurA group!". She yells uninterruptedly saying "My 
Lord! The One who is rare to be seen by (external) eyes! You should only 
bless me to let me enjoy You". She mentions about Your avataars and 
calls You lovingly and dearly "Sri Ramaa! Sri KrishNA!". Oh PerumaanE! 
The One who is lying down at Srirangam! What have You done to her for 
her to go so much crazee after You! For her to be so madly in love with 
You? And what are You going to do for her NOW?  (What are You upto?)

4.  My girl is lying motionless (as if she is in coma state). Suddenly, 
suffering form thinking of You, she gets us and starts wandering 
aimlessly. She pays obeisance with  her hands folded and gets into 
trance. (Sometimes) she exclaims "Love for Him- How much suffering has 
it given to me!" and faints. She also cries calling You as "Oh PerumaanE 
The One who has the round beautiful ChakrA in Your right hand!" and 
falls unconscious. She is suffering so much and is having terrible pangs 
of being away from You. Oh Periya PerumaaLE! You should think of doing 
good to my girl. Please do not think of planning to do otherwise on her. 

5.  My daughter, every second acts funnily, contradicting her own acts, 
performed little earlier. PerumaaLE She has ALWAYS BEEN THINKING OF YOU 
ONLY. Subsequently, she looks at the vacuum, and stares dumbly. 
Immediately, she gets up and behaves like a very smart, intelligent girl 
(with full of life in her eyes) and pays obeisance to You with 
shraddgaanjali and calls You lovingly "Oh ThiruvarangatthaanE!". She 
also prostrates on the Ground. Tears roll down her cheeks endless and 
calls You "come fast; come fast, Rangaa!" and faints. Oh Lord! The One 
who made such great sufferings due to her love for You on my darling 
daughter! Oh EmperumaanE! The One who tore hiraNya kasipu's body during 
the twilight! Oh Lord ! The One churned Ksheersaagar (ThiruppaaRkadal- 
Milk Ocean!)! IS IT RIGHT ON YOU- IS IT APPROPRIATE FOR YOU TO TROUBLE 
HER LIKE THIS? She is determined to reach YOUR LOTUS FEET.

6.  My girl says "Oh Mischievous Chief, My Master! My beloved! The One 
who is haunting me and has robbed my heart with His love! Oh Big Large 
Emerald! The One who has Red Coral lips on Your Beautiful Mouth!" She 
also yells and calls You loud, "Oh Lord! The One who stays at SriRangam 
(surrounded by Cauveri river), Rangaa!". She invites You saying "Oh 
master! The One who is the Chief of NityasUrIs! The One who has the 
Panch Ayudhams (Five weapons) with Him!". Lord! You have made her 
blather like such statements ceaselessly! THE ONLY THING THAT YOU CAN DO 
TO HER NOW IS TO HAVE MERCY ON HER. I THINK IT IS BECAUSE OF MY SINS 
(BEING A MOTHER TO PARANGUSANAYAKI), YOU ARE NOT TAKING HER TO YOUR 
LOTUS FEET. 

7.  My girl, always thinking of You at all times, says: "Oh Lord! The 
One who most appropriately, most suitable to the place, time and people, 
creates pains and pleasures! The One who is accessible for jnAnis! The 
Lord of Dark Ocean colour! The One who owns the world, surrounded by 
Ocean! KaNNA!". She also calls You lovingly, "Oh Lord ! The One who is 
majestically showing Himself at Srirangam! The One who has made me 
disabled to go anywhere (or to anyone) else!. SHE KEEPS THINKING OF YOU 
INCESSANTLY AND WEEPS CONTINUOUSLY. HER TEARS FROM HER MOST BEAUTIFUL 
EYES ROLL DOWN THE CHEEKS LIKE RAIN.  Her heart has been melting with 
that thinking and she is suffering with a terrible languishing.

8.  My darling daughter calls You as the Chief of NityasUris. She also 
calls You as the Cowherd boy who lifted the Govardhana mountain. She 
cries- cries and cries calling You loudly with sobs and tears " 
Rangaaa….. Rangaaaa….Rangaaaa…and pays obeisance to You with palms glued 
to each other. She sighs so heavily as if the AthmA is steaming and 
baking inside. She addresses You as The Blue hued Lord and gets up to 
look at the space (in the sky) with a stunning, surprising look without 
even blinking her eyes.  (may be she has spotted You there!..). 
Immediately she falls with a worry on her face and sadness saying " when 
will be able to see You?". Oh Thiruvarangha perumaanE! What is it that 
You are going to do on my daughter?. What IS IT THAT I CAN DO NOW (BUT 
TO LAMENT LIKE THIS AND SEE HER SUFFERING). Whatever that one should do 
(to get Your mercy) she has done that already. Rangaa! Please do not 
lose her. (She is so fond of You and is so madly in love with You unlike 
other worldly people who are behind materialistic pursuits and not 
BOTHERED to even look at You)

9.  BhagawaanE! IS THER NO END AT ALL FOR THIS PAINFUL SUFFERING OF MY 
GIRL? She keeps thinking of You and calls You "Oh Lord! THE ONE WHO HAS 
Periya Piraatti (THE ONE WHO HELPS - IS HELPING- FOR MY GREAT BLISSFUL 
ANUBHAVAM) in Your chest!". She addresses You "My AtmA's life! The apple 
of my eye! ("uyirin uyirE!") You are the One who brought back the Mother 
Earth (BhUmi piraatti) with Your beautiful Varaaha avataar! Oh Master 
The One who is perfectly matching for and the dearest beloved of 
Piraatti! You are that KaNNan, who conquered and killed the seven oxen 
to join Nappinnaip Piraatti!"- Like that she has been lovingly calling 
You. Oh Lord! Periya PerumaaLE! The One who did so many of such 
wonderful, incomprehensible acts! The One who is lying down at Srirangam 
down South! IS THERE NY END AT ALL FOR HER LANGUISHING?

10.  EmperumaanE! She, The One who is so madly in love with You, regrets 
that there is absolutely no end for her. "You are the One who is the 
Chief of all three worlds! You are the One who executes Indran's powers 
by being an anthrayaami in him. You are the One directs Sivan, as His 
antharyaami. You are the same one who is the antharyaami for BrhamA! You 
are the Chief of NityasUris, (ones who, due to their anubhavam and 
enjoyment of Your Lotus Feet, have become Divinely beautiful like You)! 
You ARE THE SAME ONE WHO SHOWS HIMSELF AT SRIRAMGAM SO MAJESTICALLY! "- 
like that she has been addressing You. …..(TILL NOW, SHE BEHAVED AS IF 
SHE HAS NOT ATTIANED YOUR LOTUS FEET. But Now, SHE HAS GOT NEAR YOU AND 
REACHED THE ABODE OF YOUR BLUE HUED LOTUS LIKE MOST BEAUTIFUL LOTUS 
FEET. (NampiLLai says: AzhWar must have got the blessings of Emperumaan 
to enjoy the blissful experience of seeing and serving the Lotus Feet in 
his "inner" eye only. It is Not his physical reach.)

11.  Sri sadagOpar has been blessed to visualize reaching the abode of 
the Lotus Feet of Cloud colored Lord, Periya PerumAL (Sri Ranganathar). 
He was born at Thirukkurugoor and has sung 1000 pAsurams on Emperumaan, 
the Blue hued Lord. Those who read these ten (out of those 1000) WILL 
OBTAIN THE BLESSINGS OF EMPERUMAAN SRI RANGANATHAR TO IMMERSE THEMSELVES 
IN BLISSFUL ENJOYMENT OF EMPERUMAAN HIMSELF WLONGWITH NITYASURIS.
