Namaskarams
Very beautifully told. I forwarded this post to my family and
friends. Here is a response from my uncle:
"I have a very similar experience. Amma, Chitra and I were in
Srirangapatnam and we had an Iyengar friend, Varadarajan, who
insisted that we go to Melkottai. The night prior, Amma developed
fever and her kness swelled and she spent a sleepless night.
Melkottai has to be climbed and we were seriously thinking of
cancelling the visit even though the climb is only a few hundred
feet. But Amma said let us try and so went. We were late and were
almost certain that we will miss the darisanam. But then Perumal
waited for us and we were blessed with a unique experience of a
Sandana kappu which we were told is very rare at around noon
when we reached there. And Amma's kal vali was gone!
(Of course, this is several years old.. around 1964!)
Rajan"
Regards.
