Introduction to bhakti list egroup members

 Dear Bhagavatas,

 I am a new member  of Bhakti list  trying to reach out all existing members

  My name is Srikanth Sampath Kumar and I am a resident of Kanpur (India).
I am a chemical engineer working in Gas Authority of India Limited, at a
remote location near Kanpur (India). My initiation into the rudiments of
srivaishnavism took place during my college days at IT-BHU, Varanasi due to
close interactions with a fellow college mate from chennai.
Mr. S. Dwarakanathan, a staunch srivaishnavite, instilled in me, a sense of
belonging to the srivaishnava community.
He hails from an illustrious lineage with close links to the families of the
42nd and the 43rd Srimad Azhagiya Singars of Sri Ahobila Mutt. His paternal
grand father,
Ubhaya vidwan Sri Purusai Nadadur Krishnamachariar is an erudite scholar and
has distinguished himself in Sanskrit literature, winning medals from the
president of India. He is presently the editor of the Sanskrit/ Tamil
magazine sri nrisihmapriya.


My mother's father Late Sri V.R.Ramaswami Iyengar was an erudite scholar
from Thanjavur and was the disciple of Srimad Andavan Ranganatha Mahadesikan
(mannargudi swami) of Poundarikapuram Swami Ashramam, Srirangam.
He had his Samasharanam and Baranyasam under the guidance of the above
swami.

My father's father Late Sri K.R.Srinivas Iyengar, hailed from kumbakonam and
was the disciple of His Holiness, the 44th Jeer of Sri Ahobila Mutt,
Srimathe Srivansatagopa Sri Vedantadesika Yathindra Mahadesikaya nama:
He had his Baranyasam under the guidance of the above swami.

My father, Sri Srinivas Sampathkumar, residing   at Bangalore is a shishya
of Sri Ahobila Mutt and had his Samasharanam under the guidance of 
His holiness, the 44th Jeer of Sri Ahobila Mutt,
 Srimathe Srivansatagopa Sri Vedantadesika Yathindra Mahadesikaya nama:



With the advent of email and Internet access at my workplace, I would like
to use the opportunity to learn more about srivaishnavism. My contribution
to the egroup may be miniscule as compared to the other members; most often
as a spectator to the ongoing discussions. I would like to explore the
intricacies of srivaishnavism and aim for prapatti (self- surrender).
