Dear Sri Mani,
Just when I was thinking the Bhakthi List was helping various Bhagavathas 
mature and achieve whatever they desired, your idea of categorizing 
discussions and shutting off discussions and references to important 
Acharyas's works seems to have turned a lot of people off.
Until then it served various needs of bhagavathas so well, all be it at some 
cost due to the juvenility of some knowledge seekers carried away by 
opinions that their father or teacher or friend gave them about Sri 
Vaishnavam.
Some discussions led to kalai-bhedham and cross-apacharams but it also let 
them see others' views and though there were times when they got bloody, all 
that was required was perhaps have a BOARD of, say, 5 members and the 
probability was alteast one of them would keep track of things at a given 
time and that person would raise a FLAG when it got bloody or when it was 
warming up..

Stopping fund raising is not a good idea for a community that didnt turn 
"business-minded" for a long time with the backdrop of Uncha-Vritti 
Acharyas, it is important that we indulge in fund raising at every given 
opportunity to help sustain our tradition.

And discussions sans Swami Desikan or ManavaaLamaamuni- thats like 
"Saathamudhu" sans "kaDugu- thirumaarudhal/thaaLikaradhu"!

Yes, discussions about Rahasyams had to be curbed but only the half-baked 
ones let themselves loose..the ones who knew also knew they were not 
supposed to discuss Rahasya granthams.
At the same time there have been youngsters who fell under the weight of the 
knowledge that they thought they were gaining and even 'staged' an 
unsubscribe/stop-postings..disrespect other acharyas and insult bhagavathas 
from other forums, only to return to this forum when they needed some 
mileage. Which only means the BHAKTHI LIST is bound to HAPPEN and is a MAIN 
STREAM thing- despite proliferation(some secret even!)
And to them all this has been a spring board not only to learn but also to 
network with others.

I would sincerely pray that you(Mani) work with a few more bhagavathas and 
continue to let Bhakthi List be the MAIN STREAM SRIVAISHNAVA LIST where 
every individual irrespective of his motives, continues to add value to and 
learn from it.
And as we all know this Bhakthi List has been the mother of all lists, the 
mother of all SriVaishnava activities after NAMA, and has still remained the 
ONLY non-aligned common ground forum for all us to share, get exposed to our 
limited knowledge, and to learn and unite!!
