Srimathe Nigamantha Mahadesikaya Namaha

We seek the sannidhyam of perumal alongwith thayar in these namas. Such a
dhyanam helps the prapannas not to commit any mistakes.

The 12 thiruman kappu is applied in the following order

Forehead, Abdomen Center, Chest, Neck middle,
abdomen right , right shoulder , right neck,
abdomen left , left shoulder , left neck,
small back and the nape

one should only use either the index finger or the ring(pavithra) finger for
applying. Sri Surnam is applied between each of the thiruman kappu in the
same order.

We should seek the sannidhyam of perumal and pratti and in the place of
shodashopachara, the following mantras one set for perumal and another for
thayar are pronunced in the same order as above by touching the
corresponding body's part  and the last one is pronunced by touching one's
head.

narayanaya namah
madhavaya namah
govindaya namah
vishnave namah
madhusudhanaya namah
trivikramaya namah
vamanaya namah
sridharaya namah
hrishikeshaya namah
padmanabhaya namah
damodaraya namah
vasudevaya namah

Sri Surna Dhyana

sriyay namah
amrthotbhavaya namah
kamalaya namah
chandrasotharyay namah
vishnupathnyay namah
vaishnavyay namah
vararohaya namah
harivallabhaya namah
sarginyay namah
devadevikayay namah
surasundaryay namah
mahalakshmiyay namah
