But the vinayaka sannidhi in kanchipuram was installed recently, about 3 decades back by sri chandrashekarendra saraswati swamigal of kanchi kamakoti peetham. The idol in that sannidhi does not have oordhva pundra vinayaka but a vibhuthi dhara ganesha. It may not be propoer to call him thumbikkai azhwar (vishvaksena). dAsan Suderson --- nvaradarwrote: > > > Yes We often find in Vishnu Temples a SanNadhi for > Lord Vinayaka and He is > referred to as ThuMbikkai AzWar by Vaishnavites. > There is a SanNadhi at Sri > Varadaraja Perumal temple at Kancheepuram also for > Him > AdiYen > Varadaraja Dasan > -------------------------------------------------------------- - SrImate rAmAnujAya namaH - To Post a message, send it to: bhakti-list@yahoogroups.com Archives: http://ramanuja.org/sv/bhakti/archives/ Your use of Yahoo!
