If the mere name Sri irAmAnusa can make such wonder, a small attempt is made to substantiate this anubavam as to why such this name is so wonderful ? What does it contain in it to make everything golden and wonderful. Sri thiru mangai wanted to build the temple walls of Srirangam in gold. Sri nam mAzhwAr delivered that Lord Sri Oppiliappan was in the city of thiru viNNagaram which was surrounded by the walls that are made of gold. ie., "minnap pon mathil soozh thiru viNNagaram sErntha appan". It is said that Srivaikundam is surrounded by gOlden mathils. When Sri irAmAnusar nAmam is a manthram by itslef and can pave the way for one to attain mOksham and reach paramapadham by doing prapatti through a sadhAchAryAn, there is no doubt writing his thiru nAmam alone will give a "preview" of what is to come for a "vanchaniyillAtha AnmA". Besides the pathams of his thiru nAmam are also analysed here for a clear understanding of its mantric nature (*). Sri irAmAnusar has several names such as Sri Udayavar, Sri bAshyakArar Sri thiruppAvai Jeer, Sri emperumAnAr and so on. One may wonder why these other names are not embedded and considered as manthrA ? These other names as similar to the name irAmAnusar are all idaiyil vantha kArANap peyargaL. ie., these names were all addressed for various reasons that the name itself is embedded in them. For example, Sri bAshyakArar for delivering Sri bAshyAm and thirup pAvai jeer, for listening to thirup pAvai everyday and poring out wiht His tears during such sravanam of thirup pAvai. But the name irAmAnusan is also a kArAnap peyar that came with a reason from the beginning. ie, He is the incarnation of the brother or dAsan of Lord Sri rAmA himself. Since this name is "muthalil idap patta avathArap peryar", this is the main manthram. "anuja" or "anusa" in tamil mean brother, dAsan, adiyAr and so on. Many name their children as Ramaswamy, Krishnaswamy etc. The purpose is that when someone calls them by their name whether for good or bad of them, the nAma sankeertthanam of the Lord yield them many puNNiyams. However, the best is to give the name as "I am the dAsan of Rama", "I am the prasAd of krishnA" (Krishna prasad) and so on. In fact it is said that Sri Ramanuja HIMself repented for not having children. if only he had, he would have named them as similar to the vaNNAn, as "mAran, vaguLAbaran, and so on..", all after Sri nammAzhwAr (**). The name of a person mean a lot in kaliyugam. In Srivaishnavam it is the Vaishnava lakshanam to consider one as the adiyAr's adiyAr and the junior most adiyAr irrespective of their age, knowledge, and anushtAnam. It is very important for a Srivishnava that he signs himself as Sri rAmAnuja dAsan. After considering the above explanations on the mathrArttham of the name Sri irAmAnusar, this signature may be considered to mean that one is Sri ramA's (dAsan's) adiyAr's adiyAr.
