Mani, You had mentioned about the elephant headed gaja-vaktra. Is there any mention about howVishvaksEnar looks ? When we were young, we used to call him piLLaiyAr and our elders quickly corrected it as VishvaksEnar. Any thoughts on this? Most of the old temples have either garudAzhvAr sannidhi or siRiya thiruvadi sannidhi right in the front. I guess this could be a part of the Agama. Likewise, is there any refernce to sastric VishvaksEna ArAdhanai? adiyEn rAmAnuja dhAsan -Viji (Vijay Triplicane) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Old school buds here: http://click.egroups.com/1/4057/4/_/716111/_/960313716/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------------------- - SrImate rAmAnujAya namaH - To Post a message, send it to: bhakti-list@eGroups.com Visit http://www.ramanuja.org/sv/bhakti/ for more information
