Dear BhakthAs : I enjoyed very much the insightful,
scholarly and brilliant upanyAsam of Srimadh Azhagiya
Singar from the town of PaalakkAd , KeraLA this morning .

The great AchAryan was focusing on the second paasuram of
KaNNInuNN SirutthAmpu of Madhura Kavi AzhwAr as a part of the series
of Tele-upanyasams in the time-honored KaalakshEpam format.
As Sri Kalale mentioned in his posting , the revered Jeeyar's
upanyAsam was a veritable tour-de-force .He quoted from
the great vyAkyAna karthAs such as Nanjeeyar , NampiLLai ,
PeriyavAcchAn PiLLai and quoted source granthams
such as ThiruvAimozhi , Mukunda maalA ,VishNu PurANam,
and Bhagavadh Gitai( BahUnAm janmanAmanthE slOkam ).
The experience of listening to this lecture was
like tasting panchAmrutham .

Extraordinary indeed are the revered Azhagiya Singhar's
quicksilver mind , extraordinary scholarship ,attunemnet
to the Loukik world's (our) problems ,parama karuNai
and udhAra svabhAvam to answer readily the questions that
trouble us as we struggle along to keep a balance BETWEEN
life in the fast lanes of the world's most conspicuous
consumption society and the ancient values that we have
inherited as Kuladhanam through our respective AchAryAs .
His enthusiasm to address us with joy at the end of
a long day of anushtAnam and the harrowing demands of
his sthAnam as a matAdhipathy are items that we can
never ever thank this yathIsvaran enough .He cares
a great deal for us here and answered the questions relating
to the role of wealth in modern day society and what we should
and should not do in pursuit of it . He drew the lines very
clearly between what one should and should not do , while
we travel along the life's "fast lanes ".

Sri Kalale has summarized Srimadh Azhagiya Singar's
comments very well .I will cover in my next posting ,
what flashed across my mind on the matter of
"Pursuit of Wealth " after listening to the comments of
Srimadh Azhagiya Singhar this morning .The reflections
of mine are inspired by the upanyAsam and all the mistakes
in the analysis are mine alone. I have been reading with
great interest the many inputs on this important question
raised most sincerely by Sri Mani VaradarAjan few days back.
Please treat my remarks as purely personal observations ,
since each one of us have to come to terms with these thorny
issues and seek sadaachArya anugraham to strike a balance
in our endeavours to bring us closer to the holy feet of
the Divya Dampathis .
