When, we are not even supposed to eat vegetables like Onion etc., for the reason that they are taamasic in their nature, how can we offer the silk saris and other Pattu vasthrams during the PoorNaahuti of the hOmam that we do. Well my question exactly is, since this is a custom that is being followed for a long time right from our oldest ancestors, there might be a reason or a justification to this.
